Before you begin, ensure you have the latest working version of MMI installed on both your old and new computers.
On Your Old Computer
Open MMI (the computer where your charts are currently stored).
From the menu, select Tools → Backup Manager. A window will appear.
Click Create Backup Now — this creates a backup that may be useful later.
Click Open Storage Folder. This opens the folder where MMI stores all chart data.
In this folder, locate the file named Charts.s3db.
Copy this file to a removable storage device (such as a USB stick):
Right-click Charts.s3db and choose Copy.
Open your USB drive in File Explorer, right-click inside it, and choose Paste.
Your chart database is now saved to your USB stick and ready to be transferred.
On Your New Computer
Insert the USB stick into your new computer. A window should appear showing the copied Charts.s3db file.
