The Document Tab Bar

Updated this week

Located at the top of the Document Window, the Document Tab Bar provides an organized view and quick access to all currently open charts.

Components of the Document Tab Bar

  • Chart Tabs
Each open chart is represented by a tab. Only one chart can be active (focused) at a time.

    • The Active Tab is highlighted in orange and displayed in bold text.

    • Inactive Tabs appear with a green background.

    • The Information Pane and all other interface elements automatically sync with the currently active chart.

  • Document Menu
Provides a linear list of all open charts, allowing quick navigation between them.

  • Navigation Arrows
Allow you to scroll through tabs when the number of open charts exceeds the visible space.
These arrows become active only when needed.

  • Close Button
Located on the right-hand side of the Tab Bar, it allows you to close charts quickly.

Using the Document Tab Bar

  • To switch between charts, click the desired tab. The selected chart becomes active, and all related panels (such as the Information Pane) update automatically.

  • If there are more open charts than can fit on the screen, use the navigation arrows to scroll left or right.

  • Alternatively, open the Document Menu to view a complete list of open charts, then click any chart name to make it active.

  • To close a chart, click the Close Button on the right-hand side of the Document Tab Bar.

The Tab Context Menu

Right-clicking a tab opens its context menu, which allows you to:

  • Close the selected chart.

  • Split the Document Window (available when more than one chart is open).
